Parking can be a bit tricky since it’s valet only and fills up fast during conference season (which seems to be year-round in Helsinki), but the staff is pretty good about finding alternatives nearby. I’ve noticed they’re especially busy during the summer months when cruise ships dock at the nearby terminal, so if you’re planning a July visit, book early. The front desk team – particularly this older gentleman named Matti who’s been there forever – knows every shortcut and local secret you could want. He’s the one who told me about the small sauna tucked away on the top floor that most guests never find, and trust me, after a day of walking around Helsinki’s cobblestones, it’s exactly what you need.
